There will be a lot of things to say about that. Firstable you have to know that french teams have a big delay on others europeans teams in particular english clubs like Manchester or Liverpool. For example the biggest french team website (psg.fr) earns 700 000€ a year whereas www.manutd.com (Manchester United website) earns about 18 millions € a year.
It's really interestant to work on this topic because french teams website are at the moment in a big phase of mutations. Currently only informative, those websites try to become true commercial tools, profitable which can earn money. That's why they try to diversify their offers like VOD, tickets, clothes and accessories sales, webTV...To facilitate this development, clubs find partnership to reduce the costs of those services.
Next evolution ? It will follow the desires of the fans : why not follow 24 hours a day your favorite team on the webTV of the website ! That's football 2.0!!
